In addition to attaining a Bachelor of Law degree, Caroline attended police leadership development programs run by Harvard University and Bramshill Police Staff College, UK (where she won the coveted Johnson Prize for Overall Best Student) and successfully completed Managing Change in the Public Sector, at the Cranfield School of Management, UK.

In 1995/6, Caroline won the Harkness Fellowship, sponsored by the Commonwealth Institute in New York for up-and-coming senior leaders to study in the US, reporting on the police and justice system to top policy makers in the US and Britain.

Caroline’s work has taken her to different parts of the USA, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya and East Timor. In 2008, she was awarded “rookie of the year” as a Chair for the world’s leading chief executive organization, Vistage International Inc.
